Bridesmaids Dresses... check!

I was looking forward to yesterday since the beginning of summer!

We found a date where all my lovely bridesmaids could get together and we went shopping for the perfect dresses for them!

Let me tell you... This wasn't the easiest task.. mainly because they looked BEAUTIFUL in everything. Low and behold we found one that was everything we wanted. My mom also found a dress that was to die for!

I couldn't stop smiling yesterday. Having all of your best friends in the same place was the best feeling ever. I felt overwhelmed with joy that these women were there for me. How blessed I am..

I have to admit.. It also felt great to watch everyone else try dresses on!

Two more things off of our list! Woah, it's becoming more real!

Day 3.. and it involves clothes!

Welcome to Day 3  featuring a girls best friend... clothing!

 {Tell about an article of clothing that you're deeply attached to}

The most meaning article of clothing I have is a grubby old T-shirt that my Great Grandpa gave to me when I was a little girl. I must have been only 4 years old when he gave it to me because I believe he passed away before I was 5.

I remember it being new when I got it.. and VERY large on my little body. It fit me like a giant dress! I think my G-gpa (that's what we called him) got it for free and just passed it on to me!  I still wear it to bed now and then!

Awkward mirror picture... but it shows that its not so little on me anymore!

My G-gma actually just turned 101 years old! She is a sweet old lady that makes my life a little happier!

15 day Challenge.. take 2!

A few months back I tried failed to do a 15 day challenge.. 

I thought I'd try again though! =]

So here it is.... 

 

Let's get started, Day 1!

{15 Fun Facts About Me!}

1. I have an unhealthy obsession with nail polish. I love buying it, looking at it, and painting it on my nails!

2. I cry a lot.. happy tears, sad tears, mad tears, excited tears, thankful tears.. Usually tears are involved with every emotion.

3. I am getting married in less than a year! (To the absolute love of my life and the best man I have ever know {Besides my Dad} )

4. I graduate with a teaching degree in less than 6 months!

5. I am messy. (My fiance does not love this part about me!)

6. I love to read.. I could get lost in a book for hours!

7. Nothing in the world is more important to me than family. I love my family and my family-to-be more than words can describe.

8. I have dated Josh for 3.5 years.

9. We have a dog named Rosco and he turned 3 yesterday! (He is basically treated like a child!)

10. I feel most content when I am with family or keeping busy.

11. I have spent the past 4 years of my life coaching cheerleading at a high school. I have learned so much and I love all of the girls I have coached to pieces.

12. I am currently obsessed with Big Brother, Prison Break, and Breaking Bad. (Way to much TV watching lately)

13. I love kids (hence why I am going into teaching) and I can't wait to have my own kiddo's someday.

14. I have tried very hard to be healthy the past few months and I feel a lot better since doing so.

15. I love helping others and lifting them up in any way I can. 

Whew.. that was harder than I thought it would be!

Gone Fishing

I spent my day off with my Dad this week. I woke up at the crack of dawn and went fishing with him. As you may have guessed, fishing really isn't my thing. I watched my Dad fish, started a new book and spent the morning chatting with my him.

 

 The weather was perfect. 

Our conversations were even better.

 As I get older and begin to start having my own family, I cherish my time with my Dad. I am a serious Daddy's girl and miss seeing him everyday like I did when I was little. 

So, this fishing trip was simply, perfect.

Meet The Men

A while ago I did a post called Meet The Maids where I introduced all of my bridesmaids! I thought that it would be fun to do the same but for the groomsmen! Plus, this is the brides introduction of the groomsmen, a little more interesting, huh?! =]

Todd

John, Todd, Josh, Brad, and Ben

Todd and Josh have been friends since they were babies. (Really, there is a video of them at Josh's first birthday party!) When I first met Todd (we did have a few drinks!) I remember him telling me that he was so happy that Josh and I were dating. Clearly, I loved him right away! Todd lives in Wyoming (The state, not the city!) so we don't get to see him as much as we wish! But when we do, we always have so much fun. There has been a tubing adventure, that Todd traded his sunglasses for a beer and dubbed the cooler his date! I can't wait to celebrate with him and we couldn't ask for a better best man!

Ben

BFC's

Ben is our firefighter friend (That's how I always refer to him!) and he is also the other half to Team B&J (Jacqlyn's boyfriend!). Ben and Josh grew up in the same area and became friends in High School. Ben, Josh, and I went on a trip to Myrtle beach one summer and I got to know Ben well! We joke that he is my husband. Ben, Josh, Jacqlyn, and I refer to ourselves as BFC's (Best Friend Couples). We hang out as much as possible and mischief always seems to find its way to us! The four of us really are the best of friends and it seems like we were all destined to be BFC's!

John

Josh, John, and Todd

John is another life long buddy of Josh's! They grew up together and lived just a few blocks away from one another. I hear lots of stories of the trouble they caused growing up! This summer John is getting married and we both have the honor of being in their wedding! John lives in Virginia currently, so we don't get to see him much either! We have so much fun when we get to hang out, adventures usually include sledding or bonfires at Ben's. We can't wait to make new memories with John in a few weeks at his wedding! 

Mike

Mike, Rand, Josh and I

Josh and Mike met in college and lived together for a little over 2 years. Mike is my bridesmaid Myranda's boyfriend! We have had so much fun with them over the past few years! They live pretty close to Josh and I so we try to meet up for dinner with them whenever we can. Josh and Mike also like to golfing whenever they can (They sound like old men! ;) ). Mike is a really great guy and pretty hilarious to be around! He is such a sweetheart and we are so glad that he is going to be part of our big day.

Ryan

Mike, Ryan, and Josh

Josh and Ryan met in college and lived together with Mike. Ryan and Josh always found a way to have fun when they lived together. They would take the dogs rollerblading, play tennis, and of course play their beloved Call of Duty. Every night it feels like Ryan is in our living room because I can hear Josh and him playing their video games! Ryan currently lives in Ann Arbor with his adorable girlfriend Kayla. We love it when they make a trip to GR to visit! We feel so lucky to have Ryan in our wedding party.

I also want to add that listening to Josh ask each of them to be in the wedding was quite entertaining. I believe there were phrases used like, "Will you be my bridesmaid?" and referring to my sister as the "best bride". Haha, oh the poor boy is lost on wedding terminology!
